How many calories per day?
I was taking in about 1200-1300 calories per day and everyone keeps telling me that's not enough! I felt pretty good doing it, not hungry or tired, very satisfied, 3 meals and 2 snacks and tons of water. So I bumped it up to 1400-1500 and I feel guilty, full, bloated (from all the veggies) Is there a magic number to keep my calories in so my metabolism won't slow, I am still getting enough nutrients and still see results on the scale??? HELP ANYONE!!!!

confused about calories
See, I'm having the opposite problem. I'm taking in about 1200-1300 calories a day and I've now hit a bit of a plateau. I don't know how many calories I should be taking in and I would bump up, but I don't know how far I should go. lol, wish I had your problem! Anyone have any ideas?

calories
Sena- its all about how many calories goes in vs. out. If you are very active you may need those extra calories for energy...if you feel full & bloated that can slow you down. Eat what feels right to you as long as you are seeing your goals your doing great! The bloat may come from the change in diet (more veggies) your body will adapt soon.

This site told me to eat 1300-1400 cal. I actually eat around 1800 a day. I am a hardcore in the gym and stay steady aroun 138 pounds...for my 5. 10-5.11 height thats pretty good. I would feel lathargic if I only at 1300 calories.

Some people eat way to little to see weight loss. They think starvation is the cure but it can cause plateaus and weight gain. The body want to keep a natural reserve and by not eating 5+ meals a day and skimping on food will make the body hold on to the fat as fuel for later.

For energy eat some carbs and protein before a workout.... omega 3 egg whites, oatmeal (no sugar please) with all natural peanut butter (only 1 tbs). Youll feel great. I seem to feel extra energy when I have my salmon and sweet potato before I work out.

Good rule, eat as many green veggies as you like! Great for the season now are small zuc. or squash. I bulk buy shreaded broc. slaw. pre cook my meats for the week too.

listen to your body
There are tons of different calculators out there that will will you how many calories you should eat a day based on your sex, height, weight, age, body fat, weight goal, astrological sign... However, each person's genetic makeup is uniquely theirs - so your metabolism will be different, and what impacts your metabolism and how your body reacts to a change in caloric intact will be different. I would be miserable at 1200 calories a day, but that doesn't necessarily mean you need to eat more. If you feel full, have plenty of energy, are sleeping well, and are seeing results from your workouts at 1500 calories a day (or 1300, or 2800) - that may be a great place for you to stay. If you feel hungry a lot, are having trouble sleeping, are low energy and/or aren't getting results from your workouts, it may be that you need more calories. Remember though, it's not just about the calorie number, it's about the quality of those calories - you can eat less calories from a diet of lots of greens, vegetables, beans, fruits and nuts and feel satisfied and energetic (vs more calories from a diet high in processed grains, refined sugars and fatty meats). If you aren't feeling great and getting good results it may be that you have a nutrient deficit in your diet vs an issue with calorie consumption. Water consumption also has a huge impact on how you feel and the results you get.

Long story to say - I don't think there's a "right" number that applies to everyone, and think about what you're eating as well as how much--you can tell better than any calculator what works best for your body. If you're not sure what will work best, feel free to change things up and see what happens.

Thank You
Thanks so much for all the advice! I've been bouncing between 1200 and 1600 cals depending on the day and the workouts! Thing are looking up! I am drinking a ton of water, feeling great and losing about 2.5 to 3.2 lbs per week! I am not often hungry and my energy level is as high as it has been in years! Thanks again!

It seems to me that sticking to a certain amount of calories is the hardest thing. My girlfriend was like a demon while she was on a diet)) I suffered for a long time but then still advised her to read information about the best cbd oils uk. These remedies have good sedative power and have no contraindications.
