Dealing with pain and comebacks?
Suffering from chronic pain is horrible... we all have some level of pain. How we deal with it impacts our health and relationships in ways that is difficult to understand. I learned that I dismissed my pain to the point of causing major muscle imbalances and nerve damage. I believe that my diet plays a major role in my pain levels. I have narrowed down specific foods that increase inflammation thereby increasing my pain. I have found it difficult to share when I am hurting. Because truly people don't want to hear it... and in my experience confiding in someone hurt me more emotionally and professionally. So eliciting suport from a true advocate, either in an anonymous forum or through counseling and keep researching, experimenting and asking what can I do to live a more productive life while not letting pain dictate what I want to do in this day?

THanks sphinx and feebooth.
Yes, no one want to be a "complainer" but some pain is worth discussing...even here just to cope, especially here, having the will to do exercise even when your feet feel like they are shredding on cheese graters and burning cold and numb at the same time, is definitely a hard one for people to grasp!!! Not worth explaining sometimes, even dr's are baffled. I would be too, if someone discribed this to me.

Have a great day!!!

I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH!!!
I know what you are going through! We are more alike than we know. I have 2 illnesses... Multiple Sclerosis, and Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome ( And yes! the name sounds accurate to the condition) Its so hard and painful/draining working out or really.. doing ANY activity! AND... Theres no cure! Im like really... and pain meds doesnt work 4 me.. I just started doing PT so lets see how that goes. I usually work through the pain...a s hard as that sounds... and sometimes Im tired / aggravated, but I know my body... If I DONT work out... I dont lose an inch... EVEN IF Im eating small portions of the right foods..... Its crazy, but I guess we just gotta deal? As sucky as that sounds!
