today I ran 1.04 miles.

This is my first run since the kids went back to school. Strength training and other cardio has been consistent but not the running. Trying to get back into the groove.

walking it away
I use a pedometer. I put it on as some as I am out of bed. Its a great motivational instrucment. I aim for the 10,000 steps. I use to be a competive racewalk 12y ago and had won many 5k races for being 45y . Due to back injury I do not racewalk any more but I do walk. and lift free weights. I love walking out doors but have a little problem like bears and mountion lions. I live on a ranch two miles out of town.
Anyway I have been walking on the treadmill 5-6 days for 30-45min. On days my back in bothering me I pep talk myself to just do 20min.
I finally invited my sister-in-law to walk with me in town(no bears or mountion lions), not the ranch.
we did 2.5miles in 45min this morning. Its a start and we will continue and maybe have more women just us.
Keep up the good work
