Some of the services offered included but were not limited to:

Washing the hair In some cases, the hair is simply washed before cutting. When hair is to be dyed or treated with other chemicals, hair washing may include a lightening treatment to remove product residue. Or the hair can be washed and treated with a deep conditioner or a simple keratin shampoo and/or conditioner.




Blow-out Some salons are known as blow-out bars, where the salon only provides shampoo, plus an optional set of leave-in conditioners, and then blow-out with a variety of brushes. Blown rods can also provide hot ironing, simple hairstyles and weaving.


Haircut Every hair cutting service imaginable, from light powdering to a complete haircut with scissors, razors or other tools.
Hairdresser's services
beard or other facial hair and/or shaving the neck.
Head massage and/or personalized scalp treatment Special treatments for scalp problems or scalp massage or application of other hot oils or similar products.
Hair Color Any type of hair color, including highlights, low light, solid color, bleaching, and rainbow or unicorn color options (pink, purple, blue, green, or similar).
Hair extensions Every conceivable hair extension options, including type of attachment to length and type of hair (100% human, synthetic, blended or alternative hair such as yarn or similar).
Hair Loss Services Any conceivable hair loss service, including all forms of treatment up to and including custom halo caps or wigs and/or similar products.
Wig Making Services This type of service ranges from the sale of wigs to the personalization of existing wigs such as coloring, cutting, styling, etc.
Long Hair Care This type of hair care service can range from lightly powdered ends to personalized care for long hair.
Braiding Some salons and booth renters specialize in creating every type of braiding imaginable, from making casual short-term braids to extensive long-term braids.
Hair Chemical Texturizing Services Chemical hair waving, relaxation, chemical hair straightening, and a range of keratin smoothing treatments including Brazilian Blowout.
Hair care with natural texture
Some salons specialize in textured hair care, including dry/wet haircuts and appropriate textured hair conditioning.
Individual wedding or special hairstyles
Some salons specialize in bridal, prom or other specialty hairstyles and hair designs.
Nail care
Depending on the salon or salon tenant, any type of nail care can be provided, ranging from nail extensions to manicures and pedicures.
Eyebrow/eyelash treatment
These types of services may include brow shaping, eyelash extensions, and custom tinting. Threading and/or tweezers may also be offered.

Facial options
may also include facial hair whitening, as well as a range of facial treatments, including glycol peels.
Individual make-up
Micropigmentation or similar.
Body treatments
Special body treatments may include waxing (warm and hot), massage, or even piercings and/or tattoos. Tanning services may be offered, often combined with body exfoliation. Depending on the size of the salon and whether it is combined with spa services, treatments may be offered, including mud, seaweed or other oil body wraps.



Facial This can include many treatments, including exfoliation, as well as many masks.
Hair removal Waxing, electrolysis, permanent electrolysis and laser.
Some salons have turned into day spas, which means there are even more options available, from acupuncture to facial peels, gentle injections, or even more extensive body treatments.

Some salons also offer specialized treatments for certain hair types and textures.
