Directions:  
Heat a large saucepan over medium heat. Add oil, onions, and garlic; saute for 3 minutes. Add broth and bring to a boil. Stir in orzo and bring back to a boil. Cover and reduce to low heat. Cook 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in cheese and season with salt and pepper. (Add fresh herbs if desired.)
