cut asparagus in 1 inch pieces

put water, asparagus and bouillon cubes in sauce pan

lightly boil 20 min.

in a small fry pan, crisp ham over med heat, reserve when done

remove asparagus from heat, add flour, blend until smooth with stick-blender
6
return to heat until soup boils to thicken soup.

once thickened, remove from heat, add ham and butter to finish.
