Ingredients:  Makes 8 servings

1-1/2  quarts
 
1/2  cup
 
1/2  cup
 
 
3  tablespoons
 
 
 
1  teaspoon
 
1  teaspoon
 
1  teaspoon
 
1  piece
 
1/2  cup
 
3  tablespoons

Directions:

Place lentils and water in slow cooker.

In a large skillet, saute onion, carrot and celery in oil until limp and glazed. Add to slow cooker

Add bay leaf, garlic, salt, oregano and bouillon cube to slow cooker.

Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours.

Add tomato sauce and vinegar. Stir well.

Cover and cook on high 30 minutes more to blend flavors. Remove bay leaf before serving.
