In a mixing bowl, mix together 1/2 cup of brown sugar, all flour, 1/4 cup of the cocoa powder, and baking powder. Stir.

Stir in the milk, butter, and vanilla.

Pour into a slow cooker sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.

In a separate bowl, mix together 1/4 cup of brown sugar and 1/4 cup of cocoa. Sprinkle over the batter in the slow cooker.

Do not stir.

Pour the boiling water over mixture.

Do not stir.

Cover and cook on high for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours, or until a toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean.

ºNote- Splenda Brown Sugar is used in recipes as HALF the amount of what the recipe calls for. If you use regular brown sugar, please double the amount that goes into the cake, NOT the amount that is sprinkled on top.º
