Directions:  
Heat oil. Add onions; saute 3 minutes. Add carrots and potatos, cook for 1 minute. Add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. cover. Reduce heat; simmer 1 hour. Discard bay leaves. Place now softened vegetables into a blender or food processor; process until smooth. Return to the pot and stir well.
