Directions:  
In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over med-high heat. Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic and saute until vegetables are softened, about 5 mins. Add the tomatoes, their juices, and the broth and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer, covered, 25 mins. Add the ground pepper and basil and cook 5 mins longer. Serve.
