Directions:  
-- Can use vegan margarine in place of butter --

Preheat oven to 375F. Mix together the butter/margarine and sweeteners/sugars together until fluffy. Add in the vanilla and garam masala and mix until incorporated.

Add in the flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon and cardamom and lightly stir until combined. Dough may be slightly crumbly.

Drop 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoon into your hands and roll into a small ball. Place on prepared cookie sheet (ie. covered with silpat or parchment paper). These cookies do spread a lot -- you might choose to do only 6-9 on a sheet, but 12 is OK, too.

Bake for 10-11 minutes and let cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack to cool completely. Makes 24 cookies.
