Heat oil in 3 qt saucepan over medium heat.

Add onion and cook 5-8 min, stirring occasionally

Stir in garlic, chili powder, cumin, and crushed pepper, cook 30 secs

Stir in beans, tomatoes, water and broth

heat to boiling

Reduce heat and sinner 15 minutes

Spoon 1/3 of mixture into blender, cover with center removed to release steam and puree until smooth

Pour puree into bowl
