Directions:
Strain liquid from garbanzo beans into a bowl and reserve both the liquid and the beans separated.

In work bowl of food processor, add garlic cloves and bell peppers. Pulse until finely chopped, about 10-12 pulses.

Add garbanzo beans and 1/4 cup of reserved liquid and seasonings. Remainder of liquid can be discarded. Turn machine on for 30 seconds until a smooth paste is formed, scraping down bowl as needed to make sure everything is smooth.

In drizzle spout of food processor, add oil and let it fall into bowl while the mixture is running.

Remove lid, scrape bowl down once more, replace lid, and run machine another 30-60 seconds to form a smooth paste.

Use to top pita chips, crackers or as a wonderful veggie dip.
