Preheat the oven to 350F

Combine the buttermilk, oats, canola oil, egg, and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Allow this mixture to sit for 5 minutes once mixed.

In another bowl, combine the flour, Splenda, baking powder, and salt.

Add the buttermilk mixture to the flour mixture and stir well.

Fold in the blueberries. Fresh or thawed frozen both work in this recipe.

Spray a muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray, or insert cup liners.

Fill 12 cups approx. 2/3 full with batter.

Bake for 20-25 minutes.
