Blanch green beans in boiling salt water for 1 -2 minutes. Make sure beans are crisp-tender before draining in a colander. Once drained, transfer to an ice bath to stop the beans from cooking. Drain again.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and saute string beans, stirring occasionally. Season with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Cook for 3 minutes and then remove from heat.
