clean chicken pieces then put in pot and cover with 12 cups of water

bring to a boil and simmer for 2 hours

using a pierced spoon, take out meat pieces, remove bones, grissles and skin and then return meat to pot

bring broth to boil again, add rice, stir and then reduce heat to slowest setting to cook rice (about 20 minutes)

Taste broth, if necessary add chicken boullion cubes (one at a time) to add flavor
