measure out 8 oz dry linguine and cook pasta according to directions on package, drain and keep warm

heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat, cook shrimp and basil for about 2 - 3 minutes or until shrimp are pink stirring occasionally

add pasta sauce and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes or until heated through, stirring occasionally

season with salt and pepper to taste.
