brown onions in the same pan in 1 tbsp. olive oil

put veggies in slow cooker

add dijon mustard to the beef cubes and browned beef in the same pan

add meat to slow cooker

peel carrots cut in pieces and add to slow cooker

mix beef broth to the water and add to slow cooker

set slow cooker to low and cook for 6 hours.

add salt and pepper to taste

1 hour before time is up ad wine to the stew
