Dumbbell Step Ups

Calories Burned:  459 calories per hour   (based on a body weight of 150 lbs.)
Primary Muscles Trained:  Thighs
Secondary Muscles Trained:  Gluteus Maximus
Stand with your feet about shoulder width apart with your toes pointing forward at their natural angle.  
Hold the dumbbells at your sides with your arms straight and palms facing your body.
Raise your right leg with knee bent and step up onto the platform. Follow with your left leg. Stand with both legs straight on the platform before stepping down with your left leg. Follow with your right leg returning to the starting position.
Repeat starting with the opposite leg.
