Step Ups: Lateral to Balance

Primary Muscles Trained:  Thighs
Secondary Muscles Trained:  Gluteus Maximus
1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart next to a platform such as an aerobics step.
2. Step one foot onto the box.
3. While balancing on that foot raise the other foot off the ground until your knee is bent in a 90 degree angle.
4. Lower your raised knee back to the ground and step down with your other foot so you are back in the starting position.
