Yoga Level 1: Basic Meditation Posture

Calories Burned:  204 calories per hour   (based on a body weight of 150 lbs.)
Instructions: 
Sit cross legged.

If you have trouble sitting up straight, lift your hips on a folded blanket.

Sit with a long spine. Your tailbone is reaching for the earth as the top of your head reaches for the sky, Your spine maintains its natural curves.

Let your shoulders fall away from your ears.

Rest your hands on your thighs. Palms down. If you are going into a longer meditaion you may want to turn your palms up with your thumbs and first fingers together.

Hold this pose a few breaths or use this as a longer meditation posture.
