Okay, so I've never blogged anything, but after stepping on my scale this morning and realizing that the 5lbs. I want to lose has turned into 9!!!! I need to write thisjunk down to hold myself accountable!!!

I am a 40 year old mother and wife.  My kids are 14, 11,5 and 2.  I am done.  I've been on a quest since number 3 to lose "the last 5 pounds".  Those suckers just don't want to come off.  I've tried every pill on the market, exercise (ran my first marathon in may) and every other gimmick.  Right now I've started the p90x program.  To be fair, I will say that these last 4 lbs. I've put on have been within the last month.  I had to start eating gluten again to be tested for celiac disease, and I'm certain the gluten is the culprit.  My endoscope is scheduled for next week and then goodbye gluten (regardless of test results).  I just feel puffy and my clothes aren't fitting.  I really need to nip this in the bud!  I will right down all of my food, however, I'm a little concerned that the calorie level that they have prescribed may leave me very hungry.

I look forward to seeing other blogs for comparison.  I need all the help I can get....need to get back in those jeans!

This wraps up the end of Day 1.  I actually came in under calories (although I adjusted my up from the one generated).  Good clean food today.  I feel better and my sugar dip in the late afternoon wasn't bad.  Hopefully I can keep this up for 30 days!
