
Yes, 20 pounds of fluid. I was having a very hard time breathing and no energy at all! I am recovering from pnuemonia. My blood tests returned also with borderline CHF with liver enzymes in the high normals. My blood sugars for once was 113. I am a DM2. I had just let myself go since getting married one year ago. I have tried many diet plans and pills in the past. No more! Now is the healthy way. I have placed myself on a 1200-1500 calorie daily diet with eating up to 300 calories every 3 hours. I am also pushing fluids up to 128 oz daily. I began this journey yesterday and have lost another 2 pounds of fluid and already feel so much better! I was only able to get in 1100 calories yesterday. Eating every 3 hours was different for me, and I found myself not getting that hungry. This plan I may be able to stick with. I eat some type of protein, fruits and vegetables every 3 hours. I have also given up diet cokes, (I was addicted), and have decided to also give up drinking booze for awhile. I never was a heavy drinker though. My goals are mini goals. To focus on each day at a time, 1 pound at a time, until I reach my big goal of 145lbs. Then, I will see where I want to go from there.
