My first blog post... and I've been here for over a week now. I know, I'm bad. Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow?!!? Well, not anymore!
Quit smoking for new years and I'm still good on that. Haven't even wanted a smoke since! Yayyy!!! I've been smoking for almost 30 years. I guess I suddenly found my will to live at the end of 2009. LOL
Started gaining weight almost immediately. Kept climbing higher and higher until I was just a freckle away from 200 lbs. That scared me! Started trying to diet. Starve myself one day, eat lots of bran the next. That didn't work. Mentioned to hubby that I was thinking of joining a gym. The next day we were signed up together.
That was 2 weeks and 11 lbs ago... I'm so glad he's doing this with me! I wouldn't have enough motivation on my own! I'd probably just curl up in bed with a remote in one hand and a bag of cheetos in the other. (Well... if I was going to get fat, I might as well enjoy it!)
I couldn't ask for a better workout partner! Even when I was frustrated and felt like using him as a racquet ball, he didn't quit on me.
Gotta love the man!!!
