I did pretty good today. It rained all day, so although I had hoped to take a walk around our ever so hilly neighborhood, I ended up skipping it and heading over to the Y for some cardio time. I was planning on the treadmill but there are only three in our gym, and yet there are 8 stationary bikes (?). I don't know why they don't invest more for more my favorites. There are stair machines too, but ugh! I don't know how people do it! Anyways, so I rode the recumbent bike for 25 minutes, and went 7 miles. I think that's pretty good! Then I went and did my own version of water aerobics for another 25 minutes. My kids were there doing the whole public swim thing, and that made it funner. I felt like there was a moment in the pool where something in my head just clicked and I was done. I guess I'll have to get use to exercising outside of the comforts of my bedroom at some point, but not today. I've been doing ball crunches everytime I feel like I might want a snack (a self-diversion technique I'm utilizing). I didn't overeat, yet, and although there is still a possiblity that I will, there is just as much a possiblity that I will do more crunches instead. I'm not trying to set myself up for failure, I'm only trying to keep myself on track.
