Eat less junk. Don't drink alcohol. Don't eat late at night. Work out more. Go vegan (?)
We've all heard it before. The advice family and friends give you when you express your desire to lose a few lbs. Well let me say this- easier said than done!
I think that the only way to really lose weight, and stick with a plan, comes from having a incredibly unpleasant, abrupted, inconvenient, dose of reality.
Case and point, the night before my cousin's wedding (I am a bridesmaid), the beautiful, formfitting yellow dress I was going to wear...was a bit snug. Maybe it was the drinks from the night before, maybe it was because I was blotted, but either way I felt like a sausage shoved into a too small casing.
Thankfully my aunt had a back up dress I could wear instead, and when I came home to put it on a family member asked why I had changed. I told them that I felt the yellow dress was too tight, and then they proceeded to say "Yeah..you could really lose 8 lbs.."
oh my god. They did not just tell me that the night before I have to walk down the aisle and take bridal/family photos..did they?
Though their statement was harsh (and poorly timed), they had a point. I do need to lose some weight. Especially on a petite frame such as mine, 5-10 lbs looks like a whole heck of a lot.
Which leads me here, to this site, on a quest to lose those 10 lbs.
I hope it works.... :)
