Viceral Fat. It just sounds disgusting... mixed inbetween my organs hiding from my running efforts to find it. I think I have struggled with this since I started drinking beer in college. I have typically indicated that I run to eat what I want but I am tired of claiming never to have been on a diet when I actively choose to skip meals. I like to think I am a disciplined person. I have given up beer or sweets for a year and this year was no different in that I am still not eating fast food, desserts or candy. I allow myself ice cream however as my vice. And Beer!. I recently seem received news our fertility doctor joked if I was serious about drinking 10 beers a week. It's not that often but who can go to work all week and shuffle kids around and when they meet up with family or friends during the summer they have one that leads into two or 5. Put a single a couple more days during week and you are 10. Is it really all that bad? What I do know is that I need to find a different way of cutting back my food intake. I hope by starting this blog (or shall it what it really is a guy's diary) I laugh at myself while targeting my mid section.
