I've got good news and bad news.. first the good, or should I say the great news?  I lost 5lbs last week!  Wow :) I was scared to get ont he scale, because I waited until Monday, and I really splurged over the weekend.  On Friday, because my birthday was on Saturday, the hubby and I went out to dinner.  I had a 10 oz steak and salad, but we shared a Dairy Queen waffle bowl sundae afterwards.  I figured, "Why Not? It's my birthday..."  Then on Saturday, my MOther in Law surprises me with a birthday cake.. oh no!  I had a piece.. mmmmmmm as well as 2 glasses of Iced Tea.  Then my mom calls from the lake, she's barbequing on Sunday, can we please come out.  So ok, off we go.. SHE also surprises me with Birthday Cake.. (oh crap!)  I had more cake.  Sunday night was bad...
I think I felt like I had already screwed my weekend up - might as well go for the gusto.  I had a big chunk of cheese.. ate it right in my bed, watching TV.  I also tried to have some (Light) Cheez Whiz with (whole grain) crackers.. but ewwww..  I threw that away.  Instead I had one of the kids (kraft) cheese and cracker snacks.. with the little red 'knife' to spread..
When I woke up Monday Morning, was I tired!  I was dragging my butt all morning and the work out was really hard - as if I was starting all over again.  Getting on the scale and seeing that I still lost 5 pounds was such a pick me up - and probably the only thing that made me show up for the work out.
