Blog or not to blog....

I have been using the site about a week at this point. I was not sure if I wanted to keep a journal in the beginning. As I have read the blogs of other users it appears that there is a benefit to journaling about one's progress and sharing experience, challenges and break through moments with the community at large. Keeping a Blog appears to be a very easy way to accomplish this.
Keeping focused and motivated is my primary challenge. I hope that this blog / journal will help me maintain.
I enjoy humor and and interaction so your comments and feedback is always welcome.
It is Monday morning and I already missed my planned work out time. So I will need to squeeze it in mid-day. This shouldn't be a challenge as today is my shorter cardio day and work is not crazy. The diet plan is on track and I am surprised how much more I look forward to eating simple meals.
One specific thing I need to learn to understand better is the feelings I have about food. Often I think I feel hungry when In reality I shouldn't be. Call it craving I guess. I have been reading more about satiety. The emotional side of weight loss is going to be journey for me.
This past week reinforced for me how great you can feel after good workouts. I also was surprised to learn how motivated I can be by using the diet and workout trackers. The "my progress" tab is great. Getting a daily report card is a good thing for me. I also like how it shows trends based on the information input.
Planning my meals and workouts ahead of time is also very beneficial. It really does help me. The biggest improvement has been the elimination of those starring into the pantry moments that inevitably result in unhealthy gorge fests on fat and carbs.
In closing I am going to focus on three things this week:
1. Plan - understand what and when I am eating ahead of time
2. Track - record my results good or bad
3. Interact - blog daily and participate in the forums
