Probably the biggest obstacle in getting fit, is being a smoker... I know I need to quit prior to kicking into the harder cardio. Since wheezing and hacking on the treadmill, well it just slows you down, and forget about running with an iron lung.
Like most typical smokers, I have talked about quitting, quit for short period of time, and tried all the nicotine/smoker replacement systems out there... The gum tastes like chewing an ash tray with a nice burning sensation in your mouth, the patch gave me a rash and cold turkey, well it is not just punishment for me, but for all who are fortunate enough to be in life.
Yet, I gotta do this big hurdle, so I can handle the next one. My quit date is the "oh, how original... New Years Day". Maybe by then I can find something which costs less than the habit, and finally put an end to puffing habit. (Oh course, until then I will be smoking like a train).
