Forward into the Breach

I went to a three day indoor camping event with the SCA this weekend.  Some bright spark hit on the idea of renting a warehouse so that people could bring tents and set them up inside the warehouse.  This resulted in people being much more able to come to the event because it's a bit north for most of us for this time of the year.  We never know what the weather will be.

The food was great; my friend and I opted for the meal plan and I must say that the 'Feastocrat" did a superbe job!  The meals well quite well balanced, nutritious and very well presented.  Lots of veggies.

I have discovered a new favourite piece of garb for cold weather, the "houpplande" with 'fur' lining it is just the thing for this event and you can be sure that I will have one for next year.

I was excited to learn how to bind a book, right from scratch! I have visions of very special presents for next Yule!
