When I graduated high school I had goals. Goals of what my future would be like where I would be going and where I would be going. How does one detour off the course that they were to follow? Life happens. It can bring you down and change you without even noticing. I often hear people asking me where is the person I once met, why are you so different, what has changed? I often ponder that question late at night trying to come up with a rationale answer. My findings are that I have no answer. My goals in high school were to go into the Navy or Army and become a soldier because my family did not believe I could do it. My next goal was to go to college and obtain my RN license. I did not have the money to go to college and was unable to obtain any loans.

Tampering my spirits I decided to give up on the whole nursing degree and soldier idea and just working at a full time job until I could wrap my finger around what it is I wanted to be or become. In the course of this cycle my dreams found me. I met a man whom at the time I did not know would one day become my husband and have two beautiful children with. Was this part of my original plan, no it was not! Goals change as we grow and become independent people.
