Today, I was challenged. I have to be to work very early so I get up at 5am and leave the house anywhere between 6:00 and 6:30am. I knew that I would need to eat breakfast before I left otherwise I wouldn't be able to. So, before my eyes were even completely open, I ate yogurt with berries and walnuts and 2 tbsps. of granola with a coffee. Good breakfast! Just too early! I was famished by 10:30 and ate my lunch. Naturally, I was starving by 4:00 and unfortunately, ate dinner then. It's 5:30...and my stomach wants more food :~( I do have a planned snack for later and I'm trying to wait until about 8pm before I eat that. This is the only thing about my work, the days are so out of the ordinary. I need to figure out a new plan. Anyone work crazy hours like mine with some good suggestions? It depends on how I look at it as well because it's only part-time. So when I get used to that routine, it changes into normal home hours again! Yikes!

While I was attempting to wait for a more appropriate dinner time, I came up with a group idea. A walking marathon challenge. Here's the summary:

A marathon is 26.5 miles. Therefore, in order to meet the goal, one must walk 3.8 miles each day. If you wear a pedometer each 2000 steps equals a mile. Otherwise map out a walking route or use what I personally use, the mapping option at
www.mapmyrun.com. I use the convenient app for my iphone. At the end of each walk, log your miles here. Let's see if everyone who signs up, completes the race. First day of the race is: Saturday May 21, finishing day is Friday May 27. Let's encourage each other!

If you want to be challenged, sign up for the marathon at the group called: Walk a Marathon Week Begins Saturday May 21, 2011.

Sadly, it's raining once again! I think I'll knit a bit and do some reading before bed. Oh yes, and watch "Biggest Loser".
