Back On Track

Well, I started off with a bang a month ago and was doing great, but then I woke up a few days ago and became MIA in my recovery program. Of course, went up a couple pounds, What a surprise! My 2011 goal is to free myself from this overweight merry-go-round that I have been on for the 40 years. I have been a true Weight Watcher almost my entire adult life and even worked for WW's for 8 years after having lost about 130lbs. Needless to say, I did know how to lose but the addiction demon was and has always been there. Not to say all overweight people are addicted to food, but in my case that is an absolute!
Well, life stepped in my way about 2 years ago and I went back to medicating myself with food. Gained about 60lbs. and joined WW's online this past January and lost 20lbs. but needed to find something that didn't cost anything that would keep me on track. I found FitClick and what a great website. Mind you, I had the WW's mentality to deal with, you know points and all. Well, doing the calorie counting and really knowing the amount of protein and so on has been quite an eye-opener for me. I have nothing against WW's, the program works, but I felt I needed something more. I am 60 years old and have a few health issues and hypothyroidism and so it has always been a struggle to lose. Anyway, have been doing great up until about 8 days ago and fell totatlly into the abyss and lost my way. I am happy to say I climbed out of that hole and am now back on track. Even though, I went up a bit, I still have lost inches, so that feels pretty good.
My goal this week, is track everything and try and get that protein intake up and give myself permission to be good to me each day.
