So this post won't be half as long as the other... so no worries =] I have mixed feelings about today because I didn't stick to a very healthy diet... but I did go to the gym. Although I stayed under my calorie goal I feel like having some not-so-healthy food brought me down a bit. But I'll work on it. Rome wasn't built in a day right?

As for the gym... I'm very proud of myself.

Usually... this is my mentally pre/during my run at the gym. At first, I set my mind and convince myself that I have to do atleast 4 miles. Whether I complete 4.00000002 miles or 9... I'll be content with the run. Then, however, I set my Nike + for a 5k run (3.1 miles). That helps because usually around the 2.8 mile mark I'm feeling a little tired.Once I hear my ipod tell me that I've "completed my goal of 5k"... I seem to get an extra push of motivation to make it to the 4 mile mark. Thankfully... after I reach 4 miles... I actually feel like I've reached my real goal; which in turn gives me the motivation to fight myself for that extra mile.

Long story short...? I did 5.67 miles today! So that put me off to a great start... until I ate some horrible food that counteracted my progress. But it's ok.... it's just a small setback! If I take 1 step back today.. I'll just have to take 3 forward tomorrow! It'll be a new day... hopefully one filled with healthier choices AND the gym. =] I can do this... I can do this...
