Second Saturday Sucess

Day 14 is pretty much under my belt. I noticed that during the week, I am in a routine with my meals, my snacks, my workouts and all is well with my goal to lose weight. Come Saturday and Sunday, my world feels like it is upside down because the lack of my regular routine.
I was ready for it this time. Sort of. Mentally I was ready to be aware of my tendency to be lax in my efforts. I woke up early like normal, enjoyed my first cup of java like normal and was on the computer longer than normal but eventually got into my workout gear to do my four mile walk. Ate my breakfast, life was good. Made breakfast for the family. All was well. I kept myself busy and then it was time for lunch. I scrounged around and saw I had some tuna salad fixings and carefully made a healthy lunch. I took another walk, 3 miles and took care of my home. Finally, I took a nice nap in the early afternoon and woke up ready to figure out what I'd do with the eggplant I roasted the day before and rustled up some marinara sauce for a pasta dinner. It is 8:40 now and I still want to do a final walk in a bit. I'm feeling like today was a success because I didn't unwind all my efforts from the week. I am sure tomorrow promises to be just as successful. It is SO odd. I know I've been eating healthier and I am not having that hungry feeling I was always trying to conquer. I know it is because I am making better decisions but I only had one cup of beef marinara sauce and one cup of pasta and I'm STILL FEELING FULL! 1. I usually get seconds. 2. I usually feel like I want to have some garlic bread or some plain toast with tons of cold butter on the bread. Not this time. I was SO use to having a night time snack and I've skipped it for a few days now. I'm really surprised! I'm glad! I hope tomorrow's scales show something lower. The weight is coming off but oh so slow. I have a weight watchers scale and all those .2's and .4's, .6's and .8's make SUCH a difference to this gal! :)
