Well here I am week two on my journey to some more weight loss. I lost 60 lbs. before my wedding last fall. i gained some of it back due to an unexpected pregnancy right after the wedding. it's been eight weeks since the birth of my second child and I am ready to get healthy and lose weight once again. My short term goal is to lose 25 lbs by Christmas and my long term goal is to lose 53 lbs. and be back to running miles. I've always been told I don't look what i weigh. at times I feel it though. I'm going to get healthier for myself and my kids. Every once and a while i feel the need for a little encouragement so i'm bringing a dear friend of mine along for the journey. Our goal together is to lose 30 lbs. by Christmas. I'm down three so look out!!! I've decided to do something different with this weight loss journey. For every short term goal I hit i'm going to reward myself and not with food. If I can't get the support i'm looking for at home and hit my goals why shouldn't i reward myself right? So when my first ten lbs. goes I'm getting a pedicure. As sad as it may be to some of you I'm really excited. I'm a mom of two little ones so a pedicure is a wonderful gift for a busy mommy.  I'm counting calories and drinking loads of water. I've started implementing exercise this week. I've already noticed within a week how much better I have slept. I'm looking to learn new recipes and work out strategies for busy moms.
