A couple of months ago I bought the kettleworx system. It included a dozen videos and a kettle bell. (I had read several articles on the effectiveness of kettle bells and decided to try it out.) When the product finally arrived I was really excited to try it out. The first work out was so hard, and I was tired for days afterwards; but even though I loved the work out, I soon decided not to used the kettle bell any more. (I hate having people watch me work out, at least right now; and living in a house with 4 other people makes that difficult.) However, today I was reading the MAX Workout article and was inspired. He talked a lot about intensity being the key to real success. And although I am not going to buy his product, I did agree with the things he said. As I was reading through the article my mind kept going back to the kettle bells. 10 to 20 minute work outs that leave you week in the knees seems very fitting to that topic. I am going to give KettleWorx another try. This time I'll try to remain more faithful to the program and not give up because of my insecurities. (That is the whole point any way, to get past those insecurities.) These are quotes from the MAX Workout article: "Scientific Fact: Short, high-intensity interval training burns calories up to 48 hours AFTER your workout. That means you burn calories while you sleep!" "Scientific Fact: Lower-intensity aerobic (cardio) activities only burn calories while the activity is being performed" "Scientific Fact: Anaerobic (strength-training) workouts increase EPOC much more than aerobic exercise does"
