I have never been and never will be a "skinny" girl. I have a butt, and I have boobs, and it's a good thing! Most of my life, I've been a healthy weight, and have always felt attractive. Until now...

Before I had my son, the heaviest I had ever been was 169 lbs, and that was when I was about 21. I made a total lifestyle change at that point, and I began running and tracking my meals. I actually became a bit of a fanatic about my health kick. So much so, that I began to collect nick-names like, "food nazi" and "FDA", as I would preach to others which I'm sure was really annoying. I refer to this as my health nut period. I did acheive my goal weight of 140lbs.

I kept the running, but relaxed on the diet quite a bit. Over the course of the next 6 years I gradually got back up to 160lbs. And then came baby!

After it was all said and done, I was left weighing 191lbs! Thats 50lbs over my ideal weight! For the first time in my life I feel unattractive, uncomfortable and down right FAT! I simply won't stand for it.

I started following Atkins induction rules 31 days ago, and I'm pleased to report that I'm 181lbs today. 10lbs in a month is nothing to sneeze at. I even cheated a bit (okay, a lot) on Thanksgiving. I find this diet is pretty easy to follow, and the weight is coming of so fast that I jump out of bed every morning excited to see the number on the scale .

I just joined this site yesterday. My sister found it, and I got to say, it's pretty neat. Good luck to everybody out there!
