Day One

I have started and stopped dieting so many times it would make your head spin. Well, this time I have decided to change my lifestyle for the better. Two weeks ago today I stopped eating meat. It has been a change that was a long time coming. I graduated from Culinary School about a year and a half ago. While I learned what food is I also learned what food isn't or what it should not be. In May of this year I started cutting back on my meat consumption to slowly work towards a meatless diet. That didn't work. Finally on Thanksgiving I decided enough is enough, excuse my pun it is unintended, I decided cold turkey is the way to go. So I have stopped. I don't miss meat as much as I thought I would. Though the problem lies in the high fat sauces I still killing my waistline. So starting today I'm going to eat healthier and reduce my saturated fat intake. I will hop on the under used exercise equipment and slowly and finally reach my weight goals. I just need a little help to encourage me along.
