Trying to get back on track...

After having the stomach flu, I am trying to get back on track. No easy feat I can assure you! I lost my cool today with hubby. I feel horrible! I just got so over whlemed! I am trying to start this diet - modified from the actual diet, but still not easy. I had to go shopping and clean up around the house. No biggee, but I am also starting a new curriculum for my kids (we homeschool)....couldn't even think of doing a full day with them! I feel exhausted! I think I just need to take some time to regroup. In the meantime I will start the diet. I think everything will come together in life once I start having some energy.
The good thing about the flu was I did not go back on coffee/caffeine. I was caffeine free for 3 months last year and it was great! I had so much more energy! Now I am 1 week caffeine free! And still going! I have also stayed off dairy this week. I will keep dairy and carbs out of my diet for 4 weeks, then slowly introduce them back in. I am doing a modified GAPS diet and aligning it somewhat with the Maker's Diet. These diets are actually for getting healthy, not necesarily losing weight, even though losing weight is a "side effect". I don't count calories or feel deprived. It is just hard to stay away from sugar.. my true addiction in life.
Well it is time to get the kids ready for bed! Night all!
