Call me Bake.... I would probably qualify as a mid-level athlete.
At this point I can run a sub-30 minute 5k and currently have fitness goals. My intent of keeping this blog is to help me track where I started and to keep myself motivated to continue to track my fitness and nutrition. I also hope to keep setting goals and celebrate their achievement.
I have been working out pretty regularly for the past year or so but I have yet to put the discipline in place to "diet" and have nutritional goals. I have tried other sites but none seem to be as complete in the tracking and planning as FitClick. I am excited to have this online tool to help me do meal planning and tracking. The workout plans seem pretty complete so that is a nice plus. So... I plan to use the nutrition plans / tracking and exercise plans / tracking. I don't know yet if the site will allow for higher level goals, like a marathon or otherwise, but if it does then I will be doing this also.
My current high level fitness goals are:
1. 5k - Spring 2012 - sub-25 minute
2. Warrior Dash - August 2012 - Running this one with KMan, my son, so no time goals
3. Tough Mudder - September 2012 - TM does not promote timing but just to complete will be great
My current workout schedule (desired)
Sun - Rest | 1 min pushups morning + night
Mon - Weight day
Tue - Run - 5k @ 30 min | 1 min pushups morning + night
Wed - Spin / Stretch | 1 min pushups morning + night
Thu - Weight day
Fri - Run - 5k @ 30 min | 1 min pushups morning + night
Sat - Weight day
Weights are new to me (at least since high school) so it has been hard to get the motivation for this part of the regimen but hopefully staring at my goals on this blog, and otherwise, will help to get me in the gym.
Until next time... Bake out. Let's Do This!!!!
