Today it was very difficult to get motivated to work out at all, but somehow I did it. I managed to burn around 600 calories, even, with some mixed cardio and strength, so I am pretty happy. And I do feel better now. As sore and tired as I am, it also makes me more energetic and focused. Hopefully I'll be able to be very productive on my thesis tonight now!

I have been looking at 'fitspo' and 'healthspo' blogs on Tumblr lately in an attempt to  keep myself excited about working out and eating well, but some of the posts on there honestly scare me. Some girl was freaking out because she 'over ate' for the day- a whopping 590 calories! That is so scary to me... I mean I am no expert but I wanted to write to her and tell her that was NOT the way to go. But at the same time, sometimes the thought stays with you- how fast would I be losing weight if I only ate half my current calories per day? Or did a water or juice fast for a week? (No lie, there are girl out there doing this). But as much as I want to lose the weight, I also want to keep my body healthy, not starve it to death. I think I am going about it the right way :)

On that train of thought, I somehow dropped 4 lbs last week!! Healthily too! I was shocked when I got on the scale. I am trying to only weigh myself once a week to see if there is a change, because I know it's not the number that matters, but that was such a pleasant surprise. I really want to stick with this. I can do this. The eating is getting easier every day, I just have to keep myself exercising!
