Officially started Herbalife two weeks ago, today. I skipped today's weigh-in because I found out my uncle passed away and it seemed like a good excuse. I wish now that I'd gone to weigh in, though, because I know my scale at home is not the same as the scale there and I'd love to know how I did this week. Last week I lost 2.8 lbs and 5.25 inches. Hopefully at next week's weigh-in I'll be down a good 5 or 6 pounds from where I was last week (to make up for skipping this week's session).

I'm getting used to eating shakes twice a day, although I never seem to make the "main meal," typically my lunch, big enough. According to the tracker, today I'll have eaten less than 1100 calories - not enough for my weight, and probably not sustainable. Hopefully I can figure out how to eat enough at the meal so that my metabolism doesn't slow.

According to the Herbalife scale, last week I weighed 192. This week on my bathroom scale I weighed in at 188.8. Since my bathroom scale seems to be about 2 lbs light, I think I at least made some progress this week. Hopefully I can keep it up! The hardest thing will be finding a balance between my dreamy summer lifestyle of cocktail parties, dates, and girls' nights and actually losing weight. I think as long as I can play some sport at least 3 times a week (golf or tennis) combined with real workouts on the other days (hilly walks, kickboxing, lifting) I should be okay. I have to remember to eat on the days I know I'm going out drinking (SO ANNOYING) and then exercise the mornings after. Barf.

I can't wait to find my own balance. My whole life I've had my mother encouraging me to eat less, and now my best friend and boyfriend telling me I don't eat enough.
