Yes! Feels great to have accomplished today's goal of 58 minutes on the Nordic Walking Crosstrainer for the first time since joining fitclick! Overcoming rough starts for the last week as well as a drop in motivation wasn't easy, but I just gritted my teeth and told myself "Do it for YOU!!!" Talk about a lot of free-flowing sweat...but it's worth it...I feel absolutely proud that I made it through.
Even better, it is the first day I have been free of lower back pain, spasming, or cramping during an exercise session. Now THAT feels great!
Getting in that exercise, forcing myself on with "only 100 steps left, then this thousand is over" really worked!
Only downside (but provided more motivation when I was thinking of stopping at 3000 steps...) my fiancee came in, sat down, started SMOKING, blowing the smoke in my direction while working out and commenting "You know, you can do the full 6000 steps at one time." True. I can. I did.
I stopped the first thought "It's an option. Maybe I physically can't do it." with "I CAN DO IT. I FEEL GREAT RIGHT NOW, I'M OVER HALFWAY THERE, JUST KEEP GOING! YOU CAN DO IT!!"
That's a good lesson for me today...change the negative thought to a positive thought and do it!
