Exercise and hunger

I am discovering that on the days that I work out more, I tend not to feel as hungry in the middle of the afternoon.   I've always thought that exercise would make me hungrier.  I seem to need a light lunch after morning exercise class.  Then take a brisk walk after lunch and a small snack about 3:00 and I'm good to go until our usual later 7:00 dinner.  When I don't get in the physical activity, I get more hunger pangs in the afternoon and can't seem to get satisfied.  Interesting.
