I've been told that writing things in a journal is supposed to help in this journey so I'll start today. I started off strong this summer beginning just after memorial day. I was up an hour earlier every morning to ride my bike or walk on the treadmill and I've been seeing steady results based on that. Somewhere in this last two weeks I've been losing enthusiasm. I've been watching what I eat all summer going heavy on the meat and veggies and easy on the potatoes, pasta, rice and bread. If I stay within my calories, it really shouldn't matter what I'm eating, but it seems as soon as I eat any carbs (white foods) my weight loss immediately stalls out. That's incredibly frustrating as there shouldn't be foods that have to be eliminated from my diet. I'm struggling to maintain a healthy balance in diet and exercise and it just shouldn't be such a struggle. Logicaly, I know I have more energy when I eat rigt and exercise but laziness appears to be setting in. I just don't want to go back to the totally unhealthy lifestyle I was living. Deep sigh.
