I am 52 years old, more than 52 pounds over my ideal weight and 5 foot 2 inches tall. My goal is to lose 52 pounds over the next 52 weeks. I know how to do this: burn more calories than I consume. I also know where my calorie pitfalls are: salty snacks and happy hours - and social events with wine or other adult beverages before, during and after dinner. My normal weekly schedule includes way too many snack and alcohol calories.
I will keep a food and exercise log and make one change per week. This first week I am going to eat 4 small meals per day keeping calories under 1500.
