Hello again,

I stumbled a bit last week and got up to 196 pounds.  ack!  one day of giving up and it's hard to get back into the groove.  I got back on the horse on jan 18th.  I've been eating right,  averaging about 1400 calories a day.  Since I cut out sugars I find that my appetite is much lower and my sugar cravings are gone.  If I do crave something sweet I just make myself a coffee and put sugar free creamer and a stevia packet in. yumm.

I have been doing my walks.  I am averaging 2 miles per day on the treadmill or around the neighborhood and just errand running and cleaning have been getting me to 10000 steps per day.  WooHoo.  I decided to add in some strength training since i have the equipment and it's really not hard to spend 20 minutes or so moving my body.  Doing Arms/shoulders/chest/back on odd days and legs/abs on evens.

According to my Body Media Armband I am averaging a 1400 calorie deficit each day and it is showing on the scale!  Although I haven't lost my first ten pounds yet (due to my backslide)  I am getting much closer.

My Current Weight is:  189

So, overall 2 pounds down.  Seems like a lot of work for just two overall pounds but that's my own fault.  Seems like it's so easy to pack on the weight and a struggle to get it off, but my stumble has motivated me to stick to my guns, since it's frustrating to have to do the work twice if i gain weight back.

Anyway.  8 pounds til goal 1 is done.  wish me luck
