So...starting over. I've started to become aware of just how many bad habits I have and how poorly I take care of myself. Alcohol, caffine, pop, candy, processed foods, irregular sleep schedule, minimal exercise, high stress, lots of TV. Holy camoly. So I'm changing things. Starting a little at a time, making this a gradual process.
The Rules:
1. No alcohol except when I'm home.
2. No more candy (dark chocolate is exempt from this rule).
3. Limit of one pop per week.
4. Extremely minimal consumption of processed foods. Eat them only when necessary (out with friends, etc), and even then pick the healthiest option.
5. Go to bed and get up at regular times. Aim for 10:30pm bed and 5:30am wake up.
6. Work out at least 3 times weekly for at least an hour each time.
7. Spend some time each day relaxing NOT IN FRONT OF THE TV. Take a bath, read a fun book, paint, sit outside.
8. Shorten hours spent in front of the TV. Only 1 hour each night, tops. Only watch the one series you're involved in, plus half an hour or so before bed. This rule will not apply when home.
9. Start to think about how you can cut back on caffine. This will be difficult.
My plan is to start P90X again on Monday. If I start now, I can be done by graduation and summer. That would be glorious. Then the rules will have to change a bit, since I'll be home all the time!
